New Zealand Market Movers
The New Zealand market (NZX 50 Index, +0.5%) followed global trends of a positive start to the year to reach a four-month high.
One of the highlights was Auckland Interntional Airport which shot up +2% to $8.31 a share touching post-covid highs.
Australia Market Movers
The Australian market (ASX 200 Index, +0.9%) was up strongly, reaching a 9-month high. Tech and energy stocks were the best performing, investing taking a risk-on approach following Wall street’s positive close from last week.
Mining companies were laggards of the market on the back of softer iron ore prices following its strong run since China announced its relaxation of covid restrictions.
Europe Market Movers
European markets (Stoxx 600 Index, +0.5%) was up extended its new year rally, as financials retail and media stocks performed well.
