Global markets were mostly higher overnight, with the US market ( S&P 500 +0.3%) hitting its 54th record closing high this year as US jobless claims reached pandemic lows.

Global markets were mostly lower on Friday, with the US market (S&P 500 index -0.03%) ending the session flat as the much anticipated jobs report for the month of August missed.

Global markets were weaker overnight, but while US markets (S&P 500 -0.1%) slipped slightly they managed to finish the month strong +2.9%, wrapping up its seventh-straight month of gains – the longest wining streak since Jan 2018.

Global markets were mixed overnight, with the US market (S&P 500 +0.03%) holding flat, whilst the tech heavy Nasdaq Index rose +0.3% to close at another new high.
